     This page is intended to give you a some information about working with our company for Weddings and receptions. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions at all!

 

Our Wedding Philosophy

     The most special day of your life should be what YOU want it to be. Your DJ, and anyone else you hire for your wedding, should be committed to learning about your vision of the event. Our job as professionals is to work with you to help realize that vision on your wedding day.

     Each and every wedding is different, though they certainly share some common elements. Our staff will be happy to offer suggestions and insights based on our experience, but ultimately your wedding is about what YOU want.

     S.O.S. will meet with you and communicate with you regularly as the event comes closer. Again, our goal is to learn what you WOULD like at the event, and what you DON'T want at your wedding. For example: when and if to include the bouquet & garter toss, if you want separate or combined father/daughter & mother/son dances, what special moments you'd like to create, etc. Some people love things like the chicken dance, the Electric Slide, the Macarena, the Cha-Cha Slide, etc. Others absolutely do not want to hear them at their wedding.

     Perhaps most importantly, we will follow through on our promises. If we say that we'll play a certain song at a certain moment for you, it will be played as promised. If you ask us not to play a certain song, it will not be played.

     Working with us, you get more than just a DJ to show up and play music at your reception. We get to know our clients, help you with the planning process, and we are with you every step of the way leading up to your big day. That is our commitment to you, and it is unwavering.

Wedding Rates & Services

Each wedding includes...

-Music for cocktail hour (background or dancing) -Event Planning Consultations
-Introduction of Bridal Party, and the Newlyweds -Toast(s) & Blessing
-Emcee duties throughout the reception -Dinner Music
-First Dance, Parent/Child Dances -Open Dancing
-Bouquet & Garter Toss -Cake Cutting
-Any special moments you wish to create -Anniversary Dance

     We do not believe in charging you more to have our staff give 110%. There are no “Gold” or “Platinum” packages to choose from. EVERY wedding that we perform at gets our undivided attention, and a promise not to hold anything back. This means we will customize your event, play special music for introductions and make special announcements for you during the celebration. We’ll interact with the crowd and host activities to engage your guests if you wish. It is simply our intent to give you our best, and to have your reception be the event of your dreams.

     For all weddings, there is a $100.00 deposit / set-up fee that reserves the wedding date, and covers all of the event planning consultations leading up to the big day. It is a pleasure to take our clients out for coffee or dinner while we get to know you, and discuss the details of your wedding celebration.

     We do not charge you for set-up time, only for the actual time performing. Traditionally, this begins with the start of cocktail hour, includes dinner, and finishes the same time your facility rental ends.

Other Considerations

Do you wish to have special effects lighting?
Many couples want a wedding reception to be a traditional affair, and not feel like a night club. Others want to see colored lighting and effects galore. Both scenarios can work very well! Please let us know your thoughts in this area, and we’ll work with you to make proper arrangements. If specialized lighting equipment is required and must be rented specifically for your event, additional charges may be assessed.

Do you need sound for your ceremony?
We can set up a discrete sound system in almost any venue that will allow your guests hear the ceremony, but will not take away from the serenity of your moment. We will have a system carefully set up to avoid creating an eye-sore for your pictures, or overpowering guests.

What if we want the party to keep going after the agreed end-time?
Overtime performance is available at the discretion of the S.O.S. staff, and with the permission of the venue. We can keep the party rocking you'd like us to keep performing!
